The Advantage2 keyboard in silver features low-force Cherry MX Brown tactile mechanical key switches for maximum comfort. The signature home row keys come in grey - to suit the elegant silver color of the case.
With the all-new SmartSetTM Programming Engine, the keyboard offers a powerful programming tool to customize the keyboard to your needs and boost your productivity!

The unusual Contoured keyboard is the most striking feature of the Advantage2. The patented design provides wells for the keys, so the fingers do not have to reach up for typing. They can really just rest in a most natural position, as if you put your hans in the lap. This way, ulnar deviation and forearm pronation are reduced and you can work in a healthy manner. We call it Body Centered Working.

Next to the standard US layout, Kinesis offers layouts for German, Swedish, Japanese and in the UK.

Ergonomic Features

Concave keywells are scooped into a bowl shape to relax muscles and reduce hand and finger extension.
Two separated keywells position the arms at shoulder-width to keep wrists at a natural position and reduce abduction and ulnar deviation.
Keys are not arranged staggered, but in vertical columns to better suit the natural motion of your fingers.
The keywells are “tented” at an optimal 20 degree angle to raise the thumb side of the hand. This way, your hands are in a more neutral, “handshake” posture and stress caused by forearm pronation is reduced.
Integrated palm supports reduce problematic bending of the wrists and provide a comfortable place to rest your hands when not actively typing. The included self-adhesive, cushioned palm pads can be attached for maximum comfort.
The thumb keys include frequently-used keys such as Enter, Space, Backspace, and Delete to delegate the workload away from the overused pinky to stronger thumbs.
Without the numeric 10-key, the Advantage2 has a smaller footprint than most keyboards, so you can put the mouse closer to your body, reducing painful “over-reach”.
